The death occurred on Saturday of Edward Botejue (88), a former top official of the Industrial Development Board (IDB), State Mortgage and Investment Bank (SMIB) and the Family Planning Association (FPA).
An old boy of Royal College, Colombo, he was an alumnus of the University of Peradeniya. His wife Sumana Botejue predeceased him. He is survived by four children and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the New Crematorium, General Cemetery, Kanatte at 4.30 p.m. today (23). The remains will be at A.F. Raymond’s Funeral Parlour, Borella, from 8.30 a.m. until 4 p.m. today, with the religious rites being performed at 2 p.m.
