The Inland Revenue Department of Sri Lanka has stated that a cash reward will be given to people who provide information about tax evaders. IRD encourages the public to inform them of any person who are intentionally evading taxes. Identity of the persons reporting of such tax evasion will be protected
It is also reported that up to 15% of the collected revenue is offered as financial rewards when taxes are collected on the basis of information provided in respect of tax evader.
