The International Medical Health Organisation (IMHO - USA) and Nadarajah Foundation continuously grant scholarships for plantation students who are in need of financial assistance for their higher education.
The IMHO and Nadarajah Foundation have selected 150 students for the year 2022 and 2023. There are hundred Advanced Level students who have been selected from five streams such as Bio Science, Math, Business studies, Technical subject and Arts.
The Nadarajah Foundation contributes Rs.2500.00 per student monthly. There are 50 University students who have been selected for this higher education scholarship program who are in the same category as stated above paying Rs.5000.00 per head. This program started on August 21 at DMD hall, Maskeliya.
Chairman of Maskeliya Pradeshiya Sabha G.Sembagawally was the Chief Guest. Principals, Government officials, social activists and parents of these students participated in the program under the guidance of Project Director of IMHO Upcountry Kandiah Vigneshwaran.
