Junior Joe hammers 275 in 50-over match

Kanishka Dissanayake, an opening batter playing in the Under-17 inter-school cricket championship for St. Joseph’s College scored a blistering 273 with 32 fours and 12 sixes as his team beat Ananda MV Kottawa in a Division Two match at Darley Road in Maradana.

Dissanayake needed just 159 balls to make his epic score and together with Leshon Liou (108) put on 347 runs for the second wicket as the Joes piled up 453 for 4 in 50 overs to win the match by 402 runs.
