
VMware, an innovator in enterprise software, has appointed Venkatesh Murali as General Manager and Country Leader for Nascent Markets and Vietnam. With over two decades of experience in the IT industry and a strong background in Solutions Sales and Channel Development, Venkatesh will focus on driving business strategy and VMware’s growth in the region.
“With developing economies in Asia expected to grow 5.3% in 2023 and Vietnam forecast to become the second largest internet economy in Southeast Asia by 2025 , VMware is excited to strengthen our support for business and digital transformation in this dynamic and fast-growing region with the appointment of Venkatesh,” said VMware Vice President and Managing Director of Southeast Asia and Korea, Paul Simos.
Before joining VMware, Venkatesh was Head of Software Defined Infrastructure, Central Asia Pacific for Lenovo Enterprise Solutions, where he led the Software Defined Solutions and Data Centre sales strategy for governments, corporations, and small and medium businesses across the region. He also built and led the team driving Enterprise Solutions in his role as the Head of Global Computing and Networking Solutions at Dell Global BV.
