He is proving his value in this year’s IPL season with some outstanding heroic performance where now he is competing for the purple cap (cap for highest wicket-taker) where up to now he has been able to grab 21 wickets in 12 matches in this year’s IPL edition so far where he displayed a superlative performance to pick up 5 for 18 against Sunrises Hyderabad last week. This went into the history books as the second-best spell ever bowled by a Royal Challengers Bangalore bowler in the IPL history.

The most expensive Sri Lankan player of this year’s edition is proving his world-class skills to bring great value to his franchise with his high-class performances so far this year.

Dushamatha Chameera, the speed merchant of Sri Lanka has developed himself from a raw genuine talent to the main fast-bowling threat in the national team over the last few years thanks to his consistency, pace and intelligence.

A white ball specialist who is capable of swinging the ball makes him a valuable asset for any side and that rewarded him where he has been selected to represent the newly established Lucknow Super Giants in this year’s IPL edition. He has been one of the fastest bowlers in the IPL season and an exceptional wicket-taking threat for his franchise where he has taken nine wickets in nine matches so far.

A lot of responsibility and expectations are on the shoulders of this speed bowling typhoon and he is expected to lead the charge alongside the impressive Avesh Kahn and Jayson Holder to take Lucknow Giants to great heights.

Bhanuka Rajapakse, one of the powerhouses in Sri Lankan cricket had a dramatic year where he had lots of ups and downs in his career. Chamika Karunaratne is one of Sri Lanka’s rising all-around talents who already established himself as a player with extreme confidence and a fighting attitude and all that work together with his hard work where he grabbed the attention of Kolkata Knight Riders who picked him up for this year’s IPL season.
