Bank of Ceylon promotes Lanka QR in Negombo

Bank of Ceylon teamed up with ‘Rata Purama QR’ nationwide campaign of Lanka QR organised by Central Bank of Sri Lanka last month in Tangalle to boost the digital Payments by empowering the Sri Lankan community with the knowledge of Lanka QR.

The next awareness program was conducted in Negombo recently. Bank of Ceylon’s Assistant General Manager Digital Products Promotion Mrs. K.P. Mallika, Assistant General Manager Electronic Banking Centre Eranga Bandara, Assistant General Manager Western Province-North S.P.K. Liayanage, Assistant General Manager-Marketing Aruna Hettiarachchi and other officials from the BOC participated to the campaign.

The Bank of Ceylon embraced the occasion in line with its digital road map designed towards cashless, paperless and branchless banking to cater to the change in customer perception and behaviour. The Bank carried out many activities to create and improve awareness of Lanka QR payments among potential and existing customers and merchants using its Lanka QR certified payment app, SmartPay.

Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has organized a series of awareness and promotion campaigns for popularizing Lanka QR with the participation of all Lanka QR certified financial institutions throughout the country with the aim of speeding up the customer adaptation process towards digital banking.
