The SLFP organised an event to mark its 70th anniversary yesterday. The party organised an islandwide blood donation campaign and a commemorative ceremony which was due to be held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Party leader, former President Maithripala Sirisena was slated to make an address.
UNP 75th anniversary
The United National Party has organised a virtual event today at 5.00 pm to celebrate its 75th anniversary which falls today.
The event will be a 100% virtual show and will be broadcast on the UNP social media channels. Proceedings of the event can be followed on the YouTube Channel and their Facebook Page.
