Showers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at Sabaragamuwa, Central and Western provinces, stated the Natural Hazards Early Warning Center issuing an amber alert.
The general public is requested to seek shelter indoors and avoid using wired telephones and connected electric appliances during the thunderstorms.
