More than 40 countries halted the flights from United Kingdom (UK) due to the new virus strain of Covid-19.
Germany, India, Italy were among the countries which banned UK flights. France shut its border for UK for 48 hours and suspended all the UK flights.
The health officials say that the new variant of coronavirus is 70% more transmissible. However, there is no evidence how deadly the virus has become.
