The Sri Lankan Army seized 4 300 kg of raw turmeric and 80 kg of cardamom, this morning (14).
They apprehended a suspect with a Bolero cab. The suspect is a resident of Thalwila.
He had tried to transport these smuggled goods from the Bolero cab which approximately worth 27.4 million rupees, according to the sources.
The seized goods were handed over to the Talaimannar Police for further investigations.
