State-run holiday bungalows, campsites begin operations

6 December, 2020

State holiday bungalows and camping sites were back on business on Friday (4) as the Department of Wildlife and Conservation (DWC) announced their reopening.

This comes months after the recreational sites that were under the purview of the Department were closed to tackle the spread of Covid-19.

Travellers who pre-booked bungalows and campsites for this month are permitted to continue their travel plans, a media release from the DWC stated adding, “All travellers who booked the bungalows and camping sites from December 1 to 3 can renew their bookings for any day until March 31, 2021.”

Travellers are urged to follow the health protocols issued by health authorities.
