Women and Child Affairs and Social Security Ministry with the assistance of World Bank (WB), recently distributed protective equipment to the pre-school units of the Akkaraipattu DS division under the Early Childhood Development Project to protect pre-school children from the threat of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The ceremony to hand over equipment to the officials of the pre-school units under the chairmanship of Akkaraipattu Divisional Secretary M.S.M. Razzan, took place at the Early Childhood Development Unit of the Akkaraipattu Divisional Secretariat with the participation of Akkaraipattu DS Asst. Planning Director A.M. Thameem and officials.
Fourteen selected pre-school units of Akkaraipattu Divisional Secretariat division received thermometers and washbasins.
Akkaraipattu Divisional Secretariat Counselor S. Abdeen, Early Childhood Development Unit officials, Pre-school Teachers and Parents were also present.
