V Day 2020: | Sunday Observer

V Day 2020:

15 March, 2020

V Day production will be at Barefoot Gallery on Friday, April 3, beginning at 7p.m.

V Day 2020: is a look back at ten years of Grassrooted’s V Day in Sri Lanka, with selected scripts from past performances, with only one new script - The Leopard – written for 2020. The performance piece, Somarame (V Day 2018) has also been updated to reflect the realities of 2020.

This will be the final performance of V Day by Grassrooted.

All scripts will be made available as open source resources on our website on April 1, 2020 to encourage other performers to use and adapt these stories as they see fit, bringing new voices and energy to the storytelling around violence in Sri Lanka that women, girls, and all those who are vulnerable, face.

There will be limited seating available. Kindly get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
