Kuwait authorities have decided to suspend flights from Sri Lanka and six other countries for one week from March 6, 2020.
Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced that all incoming flights to and from Kuwait International Airport are suspended for the Philippines, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt, the Foreign Employment Bureau in a press release stated yesterday. The Kuwait national carrier earlier cancelled flights to many other countries, including Iran, Italy and Thailand over virus scare. While deadly COVID 19 continued to spread across continents, many countries imposed travel restrictions and flight suspensions worldwide.
Sri Lankan airlines suspended flights to China from March 10 to April 30 and to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia from March 12 to April 30.
