The National Handloom Textile Exhibition organised by the Department of Textiles Industries was held at the BMICH recently and had approximately 40 stalls. The Chief Guest, Small Medium Enterprise and Enterprise Development, Industries and Supply Management Minister, Wimal Weerawansa declared open the exhibition and inspected the exhibits. He also distributed awards to the winners of the National Handloom Textile Contest 2019. D.B.Geetha Shamali Rathnakumari and R. L. Nadeesha from Southern Province received Gold and Silver Awards.
