Novus Sri Lanka completes 239 SBUs for People’s Bank

The 239th Self Banking Unit (SBU) of the People’s Bank was opened at Katunayake recently in the presence of People’s Bank and Novus Sri Lanka officials.

Novus Sri Lanka Director/ Senior Vice President Lahan Gajasinghaarachchi said. “The first Self Banking Unit was opened on December 21, 2016 at People’s Bank head office and we have gone through few important milestones including inauguration of 100th SBU at Trincomalee and 200th SBU at Jaffna in year 2018. He said this the best achievement of Novus Sri Lanka so far.”

Novus Sri Lanka has deployed ATMs, Cash Recycle Machines and Kiosk terminals at People’s bank SBUs for Cash withdrawals, Card and Cardless Deposits / Bill Payments and Fund transfers diverting customers from branch counters to Self-Banking units. In addition, Novus drives transactions through its Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) certified Novus Transact Switch hosted at Dialog data centre.

Operating from World Trade Center, 24x7 call center of Novus monitor these Self Service Machines, handles incidents and Transaction dispute resolution. Technical support for this project is under taken by Novus technical office at Colombo 3 including First and Second line maintenance for Self Service terminals.
