Thurunu Diriya helps young entrepreneurs

In a weekly progress report on ‘Enterprise Sri Lanka - Bank of Ceylon Thurunu Diriya loan scheme it was revealed that loans worth Rs.174,760,500 were disbursed among 409 young entrepreneurs to date. Loans were given to people from all 25 districts, while loan disbursements are led by Ratnapura, Kalutara and Galle. Meanwhile, the report shows that the provincial-wise loan disbursements are continuing to be led by Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces by the disbursement of 75 loans by each province.

This special loan scheme is implemented with the coordination of District and Divisional Secretariats island-wide with the objective of empowering young entrepreneurs and provides loans for those young entrepreneurs who are engaging in various business from around the country.
