Under the prevailing political atmosphere in the country, the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) will not be siding with any party in Parliament, said Leader of the JVP, Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
“Under the circumstances, the JVP will not support any party to form a government,” Dissanayake said at a press conference in Colombo, yesterday, October 27, revealing their current political stance.
The JVP leader said that President Maithripala Sirisena should now convene Parliament and the position of Prime Minister be decided based on Parliamentary majority.
