Two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between India and Sri Lanka was signed recently for the construction of 1,200 houses in 50 model villages, using an Indian grant of SLR 600 million. The MoUs were signed by High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Secretary to the Ministry Bernard Vasantha in the presence of Minister of Housing and Construction Sajith Premadasa.
