Chundikuli Girls’ College, a leading Christian institution serving students in the Jaffna peninsula over 120 years. Due to the influx of the war affected students with the return of the original Jaffna population to the North, the school is faced with the need for infrastructure expansion. They have ventured to put up a new primary school building to be named after one of their past principals, Mrs. G.E.S Chelliah. The Past Pupils’ Association of Chundikuli Girls’ College (Colombo branch) has pledged to support its alma mater in this venture. To raise funds for the project the Association is organising ‘An Evening of Scrumptious Jaffna Cuisine and Entertainment’ on Saturday, June 9 between 6.30 pm and 9 pm at the Light House of the ‘Lakshman Kadirgarmar Institute’, No. 24, Horton Place, Colombo 7.
