The death occurred on Friday of Nanda Kaluthanthri (72), a former Co-Secretary of the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress and General Secretary, Sri Lanka Committee for Solidarity with Palestine.
He was also Secretary of the Cuba-Sri Lanka Solidarity Forum and a former General Manager of Douglas and Sons, Panchikawatta. He is survived by wife Sriya, son Prathapi and daughter-in-law Thamara Adhikaram. The remains lie at his Thalapathpitiya, Nugegoda residence. The funeral will be held today at 6 p.m. at the Thalapathpitiya General Cemetery.
