The CID continues to seek public assistance to locate former Navy Lieutenant Commander Hettiarachchi Mudiyanselage Chandana Prasad Hettiarachchi alias Navy Sampath, who is wanted in connection to the abduction of 11 youth in 2008 and 2009.
The Fort Magistrate’s Court has issued an open warrant to arrest Hettiarachchi, who is absconding.
The Police urge the public to provide any information on the suspect’s whereabouts to the CID Operations Room on 011-2422176, the CID on 011-2320141-145 or the Organised Crimes Investigation Unit on 011-2393621.
The 41-year-old suspect is said to hold a National Identity Card bearing number 770402930V and was known to be a resident of 54/1, Wennawatte, Wellampitiya.
