OMP goes to Mannar on May 12

The Office of Missing Persons will travel to different parts of the island to hold discussions with families of the disappeared starting next month.

On his official Twitter account, OMP Chairman Saliya Pieris PC, said the Commissioners would visit different places to speak to families of the missing.

The OMP Commissioners would share their plans and seek views on how the Office should proceed, Pieris noted.

The OMP’s first meeting with families of the disappeared will be in Mannar,in the Northern Province on May 12, he said. The second meeting between families of the missing and the OMP Commissioners will be in Matara, also in the month of May, Sunday Observer learns.

How many disappeared a mystery. Travel by sea to far off lands not by many., murdered buried or dumped or burned some place ., living with false identity. There is this great possibility many are kidnapped abducted murdered by someone whose identity we must let each citizens to decide.
