President Maitripala Sirisena who travelled by helicopter to attend a function at Thalawakale to mark 150 years of the tea industry and the completion of 92 years of the Tea Research Institute, alighted at Kotagala and had a cordial conversation with a set of people who gathered there. The President after hearing the grievances of the schoolchildren about shortcomings in their schools promised to attend to those needs soon.
