Danish delegation from 15 top firms here to explore

A high-level delegation from Denmark including the Ambassador of Denmark, Peter Taksøe-Jensen,, Commercial Counsellor and Head of Trade of the Royal Danish Embassy, Morten Viktor Ranieri-Svendsen, Director International, Jens Holst-Nielsen and Nanna Bogesvang Olesen from the Confederation of Danish Industry will visit Sri Lanka from November 1 to 4.

A business delegation comprising 15 leading Danish companies will accompany them.

This delegation is interested in exploring the Sri Lankan market and strengthening ties with the Sri Lankan business community. The main areas of interest for the delegation are Energy, Infrastructure and Water.

The Embassy of Denmark and the Confederation of Danish Industry will host a two-day event, ‘Danish Days in Sri Lanka 2016’.

The event is being organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka.

The two day event comprises of a series of fora and round table discussions followed by a seminar by financial institutions in Sri Lanka.

A series of B2B meetings will also be organized for the delegates by the European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (ECCSL).

The delegation will also host a VIP networking dinner and a networking reception on November 2 and 3 respectively. These events will be held at the Taj Samudra Hotel.

The inaugural session will be followed by a business session where the BOI, the delegation of the European Union and the ECCSL will discuss the Business and Investment Opportunities in Sri Lanka.

Thereafter, the Danish delegates and their companies will be introduced.
