A prize-giving was held on March 4 at the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd. (ANCL), Lake House for children of staff members who were successful at the Grade Five Scholarship Examination in 2017.
This was the 19th occasion that the event was held, sponsored by the Lake House Provident Fund.
Chairman, Lake House Krishantha Cooray said that it was the responsibility of the future generation to make Sri Lanka a great nation through education and good habits. He also said that passing the Grade Five Scholarship Examination was very difficult but these children had done so. They must remember with gratitude the great effort and sacrifice on the part of their parents and teachers.
