For those who enjoyed refined music, the name, Blue Elephant will resonate with memories of scintillating entertainment. At the Hilton Colombo, the team headed by Kapila Mohotti, Manager Food and Beverage is gearing up to launch the second Retro Nite at the LAB.
Kapila Mohotti, himself was one of those pioneering DJs who has been with Hilton from 1987, and speaks with much passion about Retro Nite. “We basically rocked the Colombo party scene those days. There were many talented DJs who manned the consoles. Five of them will be joining me on September 28 and 29 - they are, Bunty, Tareeq, Pradeep, Bonnie and Naushad.” The Hilton team will transform the LAB located at Lobby level with state-of-the-art sound systems, lights and gourmet cuisine. Kapila adds, ‘You can call ahead and reserve your tables.
Also, like in the decades gone by, we will have a separate buffet from 12 midnight, with spicy Sri Lankan food, pizza and finger food, in addition to a full beverage service with a range of signature cocktails. Like in the good old days we will maintain a happy hour’. Each DJ will spin their magic for 45 minutes, giving guests a night to remember.
