The grand finale of the annual culinary competition, Culinario – Episode 3 was held at the NSBM Green University recently.
It was organised by the International Centre of Tourism and Hospitality in collaboration with the Foodies Club of NSBM Green University and sponsored by food producing company Edinborough.
The grand finale witnessed a gathering of culinary enthusiasts, industry professionals, and judges as they awaited the crowning of the culinary champions. After a journey that spanned two intense rounds of competition, the top four teams emerged from a pool of 40 teams in the first round and 10 teams in the second round.
Achini Aparekka and Numasha Naduni emerged as the champions of the Culinario Championship while Seynila Suriyaarachchi and Manisha Hansani also impressed the panel with their culinary prowess, securing the runners-up position.
Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, NSBM academics, and officials representing the sponsors of the event were present.
