St. Thomas College, Matale are leading the points table in the Tier B (Group Y) of the All-Island school cricket tournament having played five games and winning three matches.
All-rounder and Sri Lanka cap Sithul Wijesekara is the captain and his deputy is Anuradha Ranasinghe. Wijesekera who captained his school in all age groups is accordintg to the school maturing into a good leader. An opening batter and left-arm bowler, Wijesekera represented Sri Lanka the Under-19 World Cup.
