Continued from last week
While he was looking for Geppetto, Pinocchio met some naughty boys. They took him to Toyland and there, they played all day.
Donkeys
Suddenly, one day, all the naughty boys in Toyland turned into donkeys. Pinocchio too turned into a donkey. He was very upset and frightened and ran away from Toyland.
Pinocchio ran for days and finally ended up on the seashore. He jumped into the sea and he promptly turned back into a puppet.
Just then, an enormous fish came leaping out of the waves and in one mouthful swallowed poor Pinocchio.
And who was inside the fish’s stomach? Geppetto. Pinocchio and Geppetto were thrilled to see each other.
“I will get you out of here” Pinocchio promised Geppetto.
Pinocchio thought about rescuing themselves from the fish’s stomach.
Then, he collected all the pieces of wood which the enormous fish had swallowed and was in his stomach and lit a fire. The fire made the enormous fish sneeze and sneeze. In the end, both Pinocchio and Geppetto were flung out of the fish’s body through his mouth with one of the huge sneezes. They both fell into the water. Pinocchio quickly pulled Geppetto out of the water.
Then, they went home.
Once they reached home Pinocchio put Geppetto to bed and took care of him till he was well again. He also went back to school.
In a little while, the fairy visited Geppetto and Pinocchio at home. She told Pinocchio “ You are a good little puppet. You saved Geppetto’s life . You went to school just as I had asked you to. I will turn you into a real little boy.
A real little boy
And she did.
Pinocchio ran to Geppetto and said, ”Look at me, I am the real little boy you wanted”.
Pinocchio jumped for joy and Geppetto jumped for joy too. Then Geppetto started to cry he was so happy.. “My dream has come true – I have a little boy,“ he said.
