
Pahanma Liyanage, a 10-year old student of Lyceum International School, Nugegoda has published the first two storybooks written by her. When she was young her dream was to take a book, write a story and print her name on the cover. Her dream came true on her 10th birthday.
Puhul Kumari (meaning Gourd Princess) is written in Sinhala, based on an actual experience of Pahanma’s when she was five. She expresses her love for plants by giving them life. She describes the way plants love her through this story.
When she was much smaller Pahanma had acted, the story of the Puhul Princess and the Fox King. She had been the Puhul Princess.
Sweetie and Spicy Noodles is a story of a little donkey and a puppy, written in English. Pahanma had a habit of talking to animals from her childhood. She always tries to add dialogues to the animals' behaviour. Sweetie is her pet dog; her partner- in -crime at home. She always thinks of Sweetie not being with his parents while she is. So, finally she found a family for Sweetie through a similar looking animal. It's a donkey. The story is about her feelings for Sweetie.
Pahanma started her hobbies with bedtime-stories. She performed was a storyteller, Kathandara Podda with Podhub, which was a platform for podcasts. Pahanma loves learning languages. Her dream is to write, write and write.
