I have heard that “Reading makes a full man”.
Therefore, I selected reading as a hobby. Books are a storehouse of knowledge and gives you a wealth of information.
My favourite books are the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling and the Famous Five series by Enid Blyton. I enjoy reading these adventure books.
Reading is an interesting hobby. We can get much pleasure through reading.
Reading takes you to a world of knowledge, wonder, amazement and to an imaginary world. It teaches us good morals, kindles our imagination, and makes us think.
Reading also improves language, speech and helps us to think and write creatively. We are able to organise the facts and let the pen flow with creative ideas thus enriching our expression in speaking and our writing also gets refined.
"Reading maketh a full man." According to this saying reading polishes and grooms our lives and puts us on a higher level in society.
We are equipped to face the challenges of the world thus making us independent.
Hence, reading makes a full man.
