Nestlé Milo conducted several activities to support children transition back to class based learning, with their ‘Back to School’ program.
Category Marketing Manager at Nestlé, Said Mohamed Ali, “The past couple of years have been challenging for everyone, particularly for children. As schools reopen with the gradual return to normalcy, we wanted to make this most anticipated return to school safe and educational for our children. As a brand that has always encouraged children to lead a healthier and active lifestyle, it was an honour to support the authorities in welcoming children back to school and nourish them to go further in their studies and sports, amidst the challenges of the new normal.”
The first event of the ‘Back to School’ Program was held last week at Kelimadala Kanishta Vidyalaya. The day started off with an interactive awareness program conducted by Public Health Inspectors on the importance of doing their part to stay safe.
The event not only focussed on instilling good safety habits, but also encouraged children to stay active at school and home. Highlighting the importance of physical activity to lead a healthy life, an exercise session was conducted by the school’s physical education teachers to help children become strong, energized, and ready to tackle the rest of the school year.
The company will conduct similar sessions at more schools in the Western Province with the Ministry of Education and Public Health Inspectors, in the weeks to come.
