Hayleys Travels has formalised a partnership with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK Sri Lanka) to promote sustainable tourism and leverage on synergistic opportunities in the tourism sector.

Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hayleys Aviation, Gerard Victoria said, “This partnership provides us an opportunity to approach key market segments in Germany for tourism promotion, as well as to drive synergies with German entities established in Sri Lanka. We will also gain access to a wealth of knowledge in relation to best practices in sustainable tourism, which can be implemented locally.”

Sri Lanka remains poised to capitalise on growth prospects in tourism upon the gradual relaxation of travel restrictions across major markets such as Germany, where pent up demand and evolving user expectations will command a specialised tourism product. This partnership is expected to provide a platform for Sri Lanka’s tourism proposition to gain access to key stakeholders in Germany.
