Ambulances

8 March, 2020

Along the road at very high speed
Braving other traffic they go
Heeding not the traffic rules
Hurrying, scurrying their way through.
Weird and eerie they sound their horns...
Sometimes it’s a howling cry
Very often weeping, wailing sounds
Or screaming, screeching unearthly sounds...
Yeah, they are none other than the ambulances
carrying the sick or nearly dying
Or may be mothers in distress!
Tis no wonder why they hurry
To relieve the pain of those distressed
Or to give life to nearly dying
To Hospital emergencies in the quickest way.
So, let’s pay heed and give our way
Who knows we may be carried
In an Ambulance one day...
So, when we hear an Ambulance scream
Let’s pray for the patient’s good health,
May they be relieved of their pain
Recover soon and enjoy good health!
