Known as the Web
Being 30 years old,
By this year 2019!
One cannot
Even imagine life,
Without the Web, today!
In the year of 1989,
Tim Berners Lee, a British
Scientist, working
At CERN, Switzerland,
Invented a system for computers
To talk to each other,
Across continents,
Eventually evolving,
Into the World Wide Web!
Coinciding in development,
So surprisingly, the cutting edge
Of computer technology
And the communication world
Becoming revolutionised,
Nothing like before,
And said to be nothing easier
And speedier than communications,
In this modern world!
Sir Arthur C. Clarke
A proponent of space-travel,
Proposing a system
Of Satellite communication,
Using geostationary orbits, in 1945
Clarke was able to predict
The future of remote
And flexible work in 1964,
Believing that men would live
In a world, where instant contact
With each other, be possible
Regardless of distance
And physical location!
This creative thought
And concept, eventually
Giving rise to cell phones
And the Internet!
Communications satellite-
An artificial object in space
Being used to send out
Television, radio and telephone signals
Around the Earth’s surface!
The invention of the Telegraph,
Telephone, Radio and Computer,
That were setting the stage
For this unprecedented integration
Of capacities!
Making communications
So easy and speedy.
The Internet, called simply
The Net, beginning its history,
In the 1950s, with the development
Of electronic computers,
Growing continuously,
Driven by greater amount
Of online information: commerce
Entertainment and social networking!
The Net, be a global system,
Linking billions of computers,
While the Web be the collection
Of information, being accessed
Via the Net, so be the magic
Of one’s successful logic of instant
Messaging that appears worldwide
On thousands of screens,
Instantaneously!
Life, lonesome becoming fresher,
With refreshing relationship,
So handsome from the world over.
How pleasant the world be with the Web!
FB, showing its true face, moulding
And modulating the tone
Of human feelings and sentiments,
Making this planet a heaven!
Not only for a novice,
But even for one knowingly in the field,
The ever increasing sophistication
Of this kind of technology, the Net,
Being still something of a novelty,
indeed!
