Rafael Nadal was born on June 3, 1986 on the Spanish island of Mallorco to a businessman named Sebastian and a restaurant manager named Ana Maria. He was introduced to the sport by one of his uncles, Toni Nadal at the age of three. When Nadal was eight, he beat boys much older than him to win the under 12 Regional Tennis Championship. Nadal is also the first and the only male player to date, to win three consecutive Grand Slam Tournaments on three different surfaces such as clay, grass and hardcourt in 2010.
