Dear Poet

I go through your lines once again.
(That is for the eleventh time!)
You’re quite right in your comments
That our society is woefully fractured
With various forms of division
And diverse sorts of collision:
North, south east and west,
Left, right up and down!
It stinks here;
It’s an eye-sore there!
Everyone should be aware;
Everyone should take care!
Although you suggest:
“Let’s together do something;
Let’s follow the fairest thing!”
My dear poet,
You understand the finality:
I and a sensitive handful
Will only see your message;
The culprits never read
