UZ Arts in collaboration with Sura Medura International Artists Residency in Dodanduwa presented an evening of audio and visual performance last week.
Nine artists concluded their six-week residency program where they devised their solo projects and teamed up to present an exhibition and a performance that was opened to the public free of charge.
Sue Hill, Imwen Eke, Alice Cooper, Anne Milne, Jony Easterby, Pippa Taylor, Kathy Hinde, and Jamie Wardrop took part in 2019’s installation of Moving Out, with the artists being supported by Arts Council England, Creative Scotland, UZ Arts, and Sura Medura. Their work was inspired by the people and culture of Sri Lanka and included performance, music, visual arts and multimedia.
