My school is Sanghamitta Balika Vidyalaya in Galle. It was first established in 1919 as a Buddhist school. Amarasiri Wickremasinghe Muhamdiram was the founder of my school. Today it is a leading girls' school in Southern Sri Lanka. There are over 5,000 students and 250 teachers. The present Principal is Mrs. Chandani Udakumbura. We are celebrating our centenary this year with a centenary walk which I also hope to join.
