Renowned Bharata Natyam exponent from India, Pavitra Krishna Bhatt with his spouse Aparna Shastry Bhatt will perform at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre auditorium at 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7, on March 18 at 6 pm.
Pavitra Krishna Bhatt started learning dance at Kalanjali under Kumari Vasantha and later trained under the renowned Bharata Natyam exponent Guru Shri Deepak Mazumdar. An A grade artist of Indian Television, Pavtra has choreographed and performed in many thematic presentations in India, Dubai, Malaysia, Indonesia Canada and USA. Pavitra has established the Pavitra Art Visual Bharatanatyam Institute in a suburb of Mumbai, considered as one of the leading dance institutes in Mumbai.
Aparna Shastry Bhatt is a disciple of Guru Shri Ratha Sridhar from Bangalore. She has performed widely in India and abroad and is an experienced teacher, choreographer and organizer.
