An unflappable Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe shakes hands with popular Koombiyo actor Thumindu Dodanthanne who plays a lead role in veteran film-maker Sumitra Peries’ latest movie ‘Vaishnavee’, at the Regal Cinema on Thursday, a day after comfortably winning the no-confidence motion brought against him by the Joint Opposition. At the launch, the Prime Minister recollected watching Lester James Peries’ film Rekhawa with his mother at the same theatre, long before the veteran film-maker became a legend in Sri Lanka.
