A campaign for the Fight against Cancer will take place next Sunday April 1, with a Walk commencing at 7 a.m. from Wellawatte to the Cancer Hospital, Maharagama.
The organizers, The Fight Cancer Trust (Guarantee) Ltd hope to instal a Pet Scan Machine at the Cancer Hospital, Maharagama for which funds to the tune of Rs. 250 million was donated by Sri Lankans within a period of three months.
Children of various schools, parents, volunteers, organizations, defence forces etc are expected to participate in the Walk.
It is also intended to conduct a free Health Care Camp for the public on this day. All funds collected will be channelled towards purchasing the much needed equipment for the Hospital.
