In the fashion industry a Bridal Week is prestigious and takes pride of place. In Sri Lanka the Colombo Bridal Week with Hiru at the helm will take place this month with the Gem and Jewellery Authority. There will be a 5 day exhibition and 3 Bridal Shows. The Sri Lankan Bridal Show will be held at the Dutch Hospital, the International Bridal Show will also be held at the Dutch Hospital. The Grand Finale show will be held on March 26 at Nelum Pokuna. For the first time in Sri Lanka a Gem and Jewellery auction will be conducted on March 24 at the W.T. Centre at 3.30 p.m. This auction will be held by the Gem and Jewellery Exchange. At a media conference that took place at the Galadari Hotel on Wednesday March 14, Gihan Dassanayake, Director of GIDA International outlined the details of the event which will commence on March 21 and end on March 26 with the Grand Finale at the Nelum Pokuna.
