Garbage in unutilized CMC public toilet
There are municipal public toilets located on a two perche land inside ‘attay (8th) watta’ at Maligakanda Road, Colombo 10 which are no more in use with the water supply being disconnected. This place has become an eyesore, littered with garbage.
This is to suggest that the Municipality demolishes these toilets and make use of the space to put up a reading room /library for the use of students residing in this garden. Or else, plant trees and flowers to make the garden pleasing to the eye. Another option would be for the Municipality to put up a mini-children’s park, which would be beneficial to the residents.
I hope the new Mayoress, Rosy Senanayake will accede to the above request and demolish these toilets and construct something useful for the residents.
