Flood relief campaign

The Sri Lanka Scout Association with the guidance of Deputy Chief Commissioner, Janaprith Fernando arranged health camps in Thumodara, Bulathsinghala and Lathpandura on June 3, to help those affected by the disaster.

District Commissioner, Suren Wickramathilaka, Scout leaders and also the medical officers attached to SLSA, Dr. Indika Vidanagamage, Dr. Manjula Sahabandu, Dr. Krishan Kularathnam and Dr. Asuka Eriyawa participated in the relief campaign.

In addition, the Rover Scouts of Kurunegala District and the Scout troop of Vidura College 69th Colombo consisting of Scout Master Capt. Jayathilake, Troop Leader Kavindu Wannisinghe, together with members, Isindu Makumburage, Kusal Jayawardana, Charuka Jayawardana, Pasan De Soyza, Pasindu Jayawickrama, Nisal Tennakoon, Damidu Perera and Lasandu Mallawaarachi were actively involved in the program.

The Principal of Vidura College D.G Sumanasekara generously assisted the participants.

In addition to medicine, water bottles and dry rations were also distributed to the victims.
